If you are unsure of the service you need, please email your stylist with your current hair history (include current photos in proper lighting and inspiration photos) and/or book a complimentary consultation of up to 15 minutes. We’re happy to help!
Cancellations
While we understand the circumstances of the current cover world, we take cancellations seriously as our time is our livelihood. If you are starting to feel sick within a week of your appointment, please give us notice so we can try to put a waitlist guest in place. We will keep you put in your current appointment time slot up, until you are still feeling unwell, within 48 hours of your appointment. These types of cancellations will have no charge.
Cancellations within 48 hours of the appointment will have a 50% charge of the service.
Day of cancellations will have a full service charge under $150
Bleach & Tones
If you are looking to book a full bleach out or have not had a bleach and tone service at TCD, please book yourself a consultation with the stylist of your choice. Typically these are long appointments and need assessment to understand how much time to book. Please include a note entailing your desired outcome and we will book your service at the point of consultation. *This is also required for a full vivid colour look.*

Colourful hues
All hair types must be lightened before adding a vivid or rainbow colour into the hair. All pastel and silver colours must first be lifted to platinum blonde in order to obtain these soft, powdery or metallic tones.

Ashley is a lover of bobs and dimensional balayage. She loves all types of colour projects though, is particularly attracted to reds and copper tones. Don’t let that stop you from a beautifully bright blonde, brunette or rainbow look! As a stylist since 2008, she has had the opportunity to work in salons in Bellevue, West Seattle and the Greenwood neighborhood before coming to the Fremont/Wallingford neighborhood. Not like a regular mom, she’s a cool mom who continues to take her skills to the next level!

Kara (pronounced like Care-uh) is a master of large colour changes since entering the industry in 2008. She specializes in blondes and vivid colours along with whimsical layered cuts. She has a greater passion toward modern and edgy styles and is committed to continuing her education and keeping up with trends. As a third generation hairstylist, she is slowly stepping into educating in colour theory and placement. She has been the owner of The Colour Distillery hair lounge since opening November 5th, 2019 and couldn’t be more proud.

She is committed to ongoing education by attending advanced training sessions to refine my techniques, explore emerging trends, and stay at the forefront of the beauty industry. Since graduating from Tony & Guy Beauty school, she has been able to excel at analyzing facial features, hair texture, and hair condition to create tailored styles that complement each client’s individuality and lifestyle.

as the mother of salon owner, kara she has been a stylist of over 35 years. teresa stands center between 3 generations of hairstylists behind her mother eileen, who has been certified as the first woman owned business in wasilla, AK. teresa has been a stylist with the colour distillery since 2022 after the closure and retirement of the beloved 3 graces salon in ravenna, wa. teresa is currently not accepting new clients but you can often catch her working in the garden on her off days or treating your dogs!
