If you are unsure of the service you need, please email your stylist with your current hair history (include current photos in proper lighting and inspiration photos) or book a complimentary consultation of up to 15 minutes. We’re happy to help!
Cancellations
We know things happen, but cancellations affect our work. If you feel sick within a week before your appointment, please tell us so we can offer your spot to someone on the waitlist. We’ll keep your appointment until 48 hours before it, as long as you’re still unwell. Cancellations made this way won’t be charged.
Cancellations within 48 hours of the appointment will have a 50% charge of the service.
Day of cancellations will have a full service charge under $150
Refunds
We don’t give refunds, but we’ll work with you to get the style you want. Stylists will make their best effort to redo your hair within 2 weeks of your appointment, or within a reasonable timeline. each situation on a case by case basis.
Creative Colours
Hair that is not naturally light will have to undergo a lightening service to achieve vivid colours.

Kara(pronounced like Care-uh) is a master of large colour changes since entering the industry in 2008. She specializes in lived in blondes, vivid colours and long modern layers but it not limited to these looks. committing to continuing her education and keeping up with trends, attending hair show and classes are a favorite activity. As a third generation hairstylist, she is slowly stepping into educating in colour theory and placement through mentorship. She has been the owner of The Colour Distillery hair lounge since opening November 5th, 2019 and couldn’t be more proud.

Ashley Diamond

Ashley is a lover of bobs and dimensional balayage. She loves all types of colour projects though, is particularly attracted to reds and copper tones. Don’t let that stop you from a beautifully bright blonde, brunette or rainbow look! As a stylist since 2008, she has had the opportunity to work in salons in Bellevue, West Seattle and the Greenwood neighborhood before coming to the Fremont/Wallingford neighborhood. Not like a regular mom, she’s a cool mom who continues to take her skills to the next level!
Erika Saba

formally trained in fine arts through undergrad and gradschool, Erika is a multi-disiplinary artist and stylist in the seattle area. focusing on hair design fulltime since 2019, she uses her extensive study and practice with shape, structure and color to create your signature look.
after pursuing a fine arts career in chicago and new york, erika returned to her hometown to serve the community she grew up in. while art is still a daily practice in her personal time, she now finds joy in pouring creative energy into creating unique style for her guests. she specializes in curly hair, barber-style cuts and vivid colors, however still enjoys the full spectrum of color.

Teresa Mordaunt
as the mother of salon owner, kara she has been a stylist of over 35 years. teresa stands center between 3 generations of hairstylists behind her mother eileen, who has been certified as the first woman owned business in wasilla, AK. teresa has been a stylist with the colour distillery since 2022 after the closure and retirement of the beloved 3 graces salon in ravenna, wa. teresa is currently not accepting new clients but you can often catch her working in the garden on her off days or treating your dogs!
